Feel Good About Your Smile
With Invisalign® Treatments in Roanoke
Do you hide your smile and wish for straighter teeth with no gaps—but don’t want traditional metal braces Invisalign® treatments at Peters Creek Dentistry in Roanoke may be right for you. The clear aligners gradually move your teeth more comfortably and conveniently than traditional braces.
Why Invisalign?
Invisalign is the clear choice for many people who want the confidence of straight teeth but don’t want metal braces. An advanced orthodontic treatment, Invisalign uses invisible aligners to move your teeth into place without the discomfort and hassle of traditional braces.
How Does Invisalign Work?
When you visit our office, we’ll start by assessing your specific situation with a digital scan to determine the length of your treatment. Then we’ll create a mold that we will use to “print” your first aligner trays. We can even show you what the results could look like before you start your treatment!
You’ll wear your aligners every day for nearly 24 hours per day, taking them out only to eat or brush and floss. As your teeth move into position, you will switch to new aligners every few weeks or so until you finish your treatment plan. Throughout your treatment, you’ll have occasional appointments at our office to check your progress and for additional support if needed.
The good news is that Invisalign aligners have been shown to move and straighten teeth faster (if there aren’t any major issues) than traditional braces. And the best part—they are nearly invisible. So, no self-consciousness as you discreetly improve your smile.
Once your aligner treatment is complete, you will be given aftercare retainers. You only have to wear these at night, but they are critical to long-lasting results.
What Teeth Problems Can Invisalign Fix?
Invisalign Can Fix a Variety of Teeth Problems in Most Patients.
The Clear Aligners Can Often Treat:
- Crooked teeth
- Overbite
- Underbite
- Crossbite
- Gaps
- Open bite
- Crowded teeth
This may not always be the right solution; it depends on the individual situation and the combination and severity of teeth issues.
Invisalign Is Not Able To Correct:
- Tooth shape
- Tooth position
- Larger gaps
- Intrusion and Extrusion
- Midline movements
- Previous or new dental work
Some patients will need to use tooth-colored button-like attachments on their aligners, and those are slightly visible.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
The cost of Invisalign is similar to that of traditional braces but check with our office to see how we can help make treatment affordable for you. There may be payment plans available, and it’s possible your dental insurance will cover some of the cost.
